There are few trees on the south face of the Bernia. This large oak, on the edge of an extensive scree slope, provides a great place to stop and rest in the shade. Beyond this oak you will be faced with several rock scrambles where the path is indistinct and a bit tricky. So it's a good place to refresh yourselves.
