The "Cordilleras" range runs along the south side of the Almadich valley.
"Cordilleras" literally means "mountain range". The leftmost
gully shown in this photo is particularly humid. Many fossil sea urchins and molluscs
can be found there, scattered about having been washed from the rocks above. To
