The view north is over the Val de Pop (Jalon river Valley) On the far side
is the Sierra de Penyo, topped by a craggy outcrop (the Penya Roig - 789 metres)
and the twisted folds of the Cabal Verde (Cavall Vert, Green Horse) ridge. This
ridge is steeped in history and legend

Note: Many authors consider the whole of the Sierra del Penyo as the Cabal Verde
ridge, however the 1:25000 maps show the ridge only at the eastern end. To further
complicate things the story of Cavall Vert suggests that it should be between
the two peaks of the Penya Roig...well, it was only a legend after all!
