Start 1 Font del Gel to 2. Folly |
From Font Del Gel fill up with water! Walk up hill for 200 meters. Turn sharp left to join a path into the woods. The path has yellow and white marks on the rocks and also some trees, follow the marks through the woods until you come to a rough track, turn right. Follow this down to a tarmac road, turn left you can now see the Folly on your right. |

| 2. Folly to 3 Stream | 10m past this, turn right and follow zig zag down hill through pine trees until you come out on a tarmac road. Cross over and follow sign marked Font D’isber, carry on down to cross a stream (this can be a problem after lots of rain).

| 3. Stream via 4 Ruined Finca to 5 Rock Scramble. | From the stream follow the track now climbing slowly up hill. You now come to some ruined fincas. Walk past these following the track with rocks and lots of Cactus to your right until you come to large over- hanging boulders, 30m past these, turn sharp right at a cairn, just before an almond grove (there is a red blob on a wall). This will lead you up (a slightly challenging) 30m rock scramble to the top. |

| 5. Rock Scramble via 6, the top to 7 Rock piles | Signs of an old castle or look out tower can be seen here, also great
views of the surrounding country side. Leave the top on the river valley
side, passing by a white building used for TV masts following the track
down marked with cairns and red marks, till you come to a much flatter
area, follow the red marks until you reach some very
large structures made of piles of rocks (if any one has any ideas
as to what they are there for...please let us know! |

| 7. Rock piles to 8 Dam | Now follow red marks and good track down until you come out on a tarmac
road. Turn right and follow this down past BBQ site (Area Recreativa Barranc
del Fontilles) for 50m and turn sharp right onto a driveable rough track
which leads to a dam. |

| 8. Dam to 9. first tower and wall | You now walk over the dam, bearing left and up, and follow the cairns
and red marks, marking the strenuous route up the rake to reach the wall,
and first lookout tower. Good views of Fontiller, Montgo, Sagra, Orba and
out to sea. |

| 9 Wall to 10 summit and 11 ruined finca | Now follow wall on your right to reach the highest part of the walk, with
views of Orba castle. Descend down following wall, red marks and cairns.
Ignore the small hole in the wall in the middle of this section. On reaching
the bottom of the wall turn right and go past ruined finca, Through large
hole in wall. |

| From 11 Ruined finca to 12 gate | From here follow cairns and red marks on trees and rocks through pine
woods keping the wall on your left, till you reach a chain link gate.
(If gate locked you can easily get round the side) go out here to the
tarmac road and turn right. |

| 12 Gate to Font del Gel | Walk 30m up the road before turning right onto a unmade road Follow road
down until you reach the wall again (300m). Follow the wall for 400mts until
you come to corner, take left hand track up back onto tarmac road bear right
follow this till you reach a junction turn left off the tarmac onto rough
track. You are now on the track you went out on, this takes you back through the woods following the yellow and white signs until you reach the road, turn right 200m and you are back at Font de Gel. |
