SPANISH
There is a lot of information on the web (in Spanish) about walks in the Comunidad
Valenciana.
If you want to search the web yourself got to Google and type SENDEROS ALICANTE
into the search box!
http://www.cma.gva.es/areas/montes/viasverdes/vias/prsl/alicante/index.pdf.
- An index of the network of waymarked walks in Alicante province of the Comunidad
Valenciana . The walks prefixed with GR (Gran recorrido) are long cross country
treks; those prefixed with PR-V are "Senderos de pequeño recorrido"
- literally "path of small journey". The index in turn leads to PDF
files briefly describing each walk.. Note: many of the walks are quite long
(even the short ones!), and not circular.
http://www.dip-alicante.es/medioambiente/senderos - this site is long on flashy graphics and short on information! However it describes a number of the PRV walks, and includes some not mentioned in the index above, e.g. PRV 161 - Alpatro to Beniali.
http://www.alu.ua.es/a/amm31/senderos.htm
- This site is obviously in its early stages - very few walks described thus
far! However it includes a description of what constitutes a GR and what a PR-V,
as well as the waymarks used. It also includes a long list of walking links
in:
http://www.alu.ua.es/a/amm31/enlaces.htm.
These are divided into three groups: Walking in Spain; In Alicante and in Castellon
and Valencia. Some of the links are dead , and others are about car hire, some
are useful.
