Follow the waymarks to take the easiest route. After a further 40 minutes you arrive at the top., a large flat area 753 metres. .

Enjoy the views to the south: Calpe Rock (Penyon de Ifach); Sierra Bèrnia; Sierra Helada, Morro de Toix.

2 hours 30 minutes

From 4 the Summit to 5 the gully Walk west along the flat plain of the summit and soon you pick up the path which leads down along the "elephant's back". The path steepens, and after 25 minutes passes a small cave (more a depression) on the right and lone tree. The path forks just below the tree. Take the left fork which continues down (the right fork takes you up to the peak of the Denia cross). A further 20 minutes later, another path to the Denia cross comes in form the right. The path initially follows the south side of the mountain, then crosses a plain to the northern, Denia side. The path is very rough in places having been cut from vertical strata. The plain is a good place to find Bee orchids, Sawfly orchids and Early Purple orchids in the Spring. After 1 hour you arrive at the head of a wide gully and shade of a pine tree. 3 hours 30 minutes
From the 5 Gully to 6 Denia path After resting for a while, continue towards the Denia side of the mountain. Spring flowers seen here include the Barbary nut, a grass-leaved buttercup - Ranunculus gramineus. After 20 minutes you reach the top of the cliff overlooking Denia. The path joins another up from Denia. 3 hours 50 minutes
From 6 Denia path to 7, turn-off to Los lagos Continue heading west. The path crosses the end of what looks like the ruins of a long man-made wall. This is the "Pic de l'Aguila", a fortification dating from the 1st century a.d.., the time when Denia was the roman city of Dianium. Wild Gladioli and Meadow Rue can be seen. After about an hour the footpath expands into a broad forestry track. This eventually curves round the eastern end of the Mongo, and takes you down on the southern side. The track is rough and a bit treacherous underfoot. Beside the road can be seen both toothed Lavendar and cut leaved Lavendar. The track turns away from the mountain and flattens out. Look for the back of a small sign on the left of the track within a copse of pine trees. This marks the left turn onto a footpath 5 hours 10 mins
From Turnoff back to car Follow the footpath through a wooded area. After 15 minutes the path enters the back of Los lagos urbanisation. Turn right and walk straight back to your car. 5 hours 30 mins
