Report on Caving Expedition Colin Bagnall Waymarks?: No Location and map reference : The Cova Ampla, Eye of the "elephant", eastern end of the Montgo mountain, Javea Distance, approximate time and degree of difficulty: 1hour to 1 hour 20 minutes to reach the Eye, about 45 mins return trip. The track crosses rough terrain and people with a fear of heights will find the final approach to the "eye" difficult. How to get there by car: From Javea Old Town (Pueblo), take the Carretera de Denia CV 736 towards Denia. On recahing the top of the ridge, ignore the right turn to the Cabo de San Antonio, but stop at the next turning on the right - the entrance to the San Geronimo Campo de Tiro (shooting range). Park here. From Javea - about 5 minutes drive.
