Catalogue of Wild Flowers
There are over 3000 species of different wild plant in the Comunidad Valenciana
(many more than in the entire British Isles). Of these, 127 are native only
to Valencia, and a further 218 are native to the Iberian peninsular. Many plants
are thus endangered, and many also have medicinal value. The mountains of the
Costa Blanca are especially rich in endemic species and communities of plant.

We have been photographing flowers on our walks and local rambles. Identification
and background information has been obtained from a variety of books and the
Web.. Note: We have done our best, but may have mis-identified some. Please
let us know of any errors! This section is constantly being added to...we already
have several hundred plants to identify!
