Perennial aromatic plant, generally with erect branches up to 80-cm tall. Spikes of blue flowers and large irregularly-lobed or cut leaves mostly from a basal rosette, or from the base stem. Corolla with unequal lips which diverge a little, the upper lip slightly curved at the end only, darker blue with style projecting.
Locally Used as an infusion for digestion; externally for small wounds. The leaves have also been used as a substitute for tobacco.
