Limodorum abortivum - Violet Limodore
This is a large, robust orchid. Flower spike 20-35cm tall, with 4 to 25 flowers. Flowers violet, 3-4cm large, frequently seen closed, but open very wide with lance-like sepals. Relatively rare, but can be locally abundant. Flowers from the end of March until the end of June.
