A ground-hugging plant, forming clumps. Very branched prostrate stems.The leaves are opposite, oval to lance-shaped. In the leaf axils are well separated clusters of flowers with silvery, papery bracts, 4-6mm long (which are the most noticeable feature). The flowers are hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Insects.
Flowers: March to July
Uses: As a tea; medicinlly as a diureticc, for fever, reduce blood pressure and detoxicant. Also used in the treatment of TB
