Wild boar or Jabali (Sus Scrofa )are common in mountains, woods and cultivated areas, but seldom seen during the day. The animals are out in the twilight and night time. The big males live alone while the females move in groups. Their diet is very varied from vegetable products: roots, shoots, fruits etc. to small invertebrates (insects, snails) to small mammmals and even birds. The locations of wild boar are easily recognised by the marks that they leave such as holes made when looking for roots; tree trunks they use for scraping against and mud pools they wallow in.
