Distance, approximate time and degree of difficulty: 11 Km , 4 hours 30 mins (including lunch and drink stops) Return Route (A): Mostly good footpaths, unsurfaced road and tarmac. Moderate angle of ascent or descent. The floods of October 2007 have washed out some of the track. Longer than route B Return route(B): Moderate, with 200m ascent, rough underfoot and some scrambly bits. Main features of walk: Spectacular views of the Paso Tancat (closed pass); Bolulla Castle; Return route (B) via a small rock arch. |

How to get there by car:
IMPORTANT The
road Tarbena to Castells is closed.(March 2008)
From Javea take the N332 and CV 732 to Pedreguer. From Pedreguer take the CV 720 via Alcalali and Parcent to Benichembla and Castell de Castells (1 hour). Pass through Castell and turn left at the T junction leaving the village on the CV 752 to Tarbena.! The road hairpins upwards and reaches a high plain (Pla Dalt) cultivated with fruit trees. Turn right soon after the KM7 post onto a broad forestry track and park.
