The Refugio la Figuereta is a mountain refuge which has accomodation which can be booked in advance. The place is kept locked but there are benches outside and a hand pump for drinking water. If you climb the steps to the right of this picture you reach benches overlooking the Marshes of Pego and the Mediterranean sea. There is also a great view of an horrendous building development scarring the hillside.
